On May 25, 2026, the Rights Centre NGO organized a discussion dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence, state obligations, and the application of protective measures, considering the ECHR judgment in the case of Hasmik Khachatryan v. Armenia.
Anna Maralyan, President of the Rights Centre NGO, delivered the opening remarks. Anna Karapetyan, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, and Ruzanna Azroyan, Judge of the RA Administrative Court, presented their observations and professional analysis on the effectiveness of the state’s application of protective measures and the existing challenges. Speeches were also delivered by Davit Gyurjyan, representative of the Law Development and Protection Foundation, and Anahit Aghajanyan, representative of the Office of the Representative on International Legal Matters.
The presentations were followed by an active and constructive discussion between the speakers and the participants.
The event was attended by representatives of the RA Police, judges, lawyers, as well as members of civil society and international organizations.
