Rights Center NGO is seeking to hire a Project Assistant/Communications Specialist

Position: part-time, remote, 5 months

Duration of work: Jul-Oct 31, 2025

Rights Center NGO is implementing “Improving Judicial Response to Gender-Based and Domestic Violence Cases in Armenia” project, which aims to strengthen the judicial response to gender-based violence (GBV) and domestic violence (DV) in Armenia by promoting judges’ awareness of gender sensitivity, relevant legal regulations, and victim-based approaches.

Job Description

  • To identify communication needs for various project activities, be responsible for preparing communication and visibility materials (photos, videos, stories, informational materials, articles, etc.)
  • To provide support in organizing project activities and in summarizing the outcomes of events
  • To collect materials and data necessary for a narrative report
  • To draft meeting minutes
  • To fulfil the organization’s logistical tasks
  • To update the organization’s website and social media accounts on regular basis

Required knowledge and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, public relations or a related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant administrative and/or communication experience. Previous relevant experience with EU-funded projects will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Armenian and English; knowledge of Russian is desirable
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills
  • Creative thinking and proactive attitude.

The sub-grant project “Improving the Judicial Response to Gender-Based and Domestic Violence Cases in Armenia” is implemented by the Rights Center NGO within the framework of the “EQUAL-EU 4 Women Empowerment” project. The project is implemented by the OxYGen Foundation, the European Partnership for Democracy NGO, the Netherlands Helsinki Committee NGO, the Women’s Support Center NGO, the WINNET Goris Development Foundation, in cooperation with the Winnet Sweden NGO. The project is funded by the EU.
