Meeting Dedicated to the Issues of Domestic Violence and Violence Against Women in Armenia

On March 9, 2026, the “Rights Centre” NGO, in cooperation with the “Women’s Support Center” NGO, held a meeting dedicated to the issues of domestic violence and violence against women in Armenia.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Tatevik Stepanyan, as well as representatives of embassies in Armenia, the European Union, the Council of Europe, and the UNHCR.
During the event, Anna Maralyan, President of the “Rights Centre” NGO, delivered a speech presenting the organization’s key initiatives aimed at combating violence against women. These initiatives include the provision of legal consultations for women, as well as the development of a guide for judges on conducting gender-sensitive judicial proceedings.
Speeches were also delivered by Maro Matosyan, Director of the “Women’s Support Center,” as well as beneficiaries of the center, who presented the center’s work and its results.

The event took place within the framework of the Art and Advocacy Against Domestic Violence project with the financial support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
